Location is fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. Rooms feel a bit dated, and the bathroom setup is cramped. Available amenities like bicycle rental are a plus. Parking is tight and can be tricky, so plan ahead. Friendly staff made our stay enjoyable.

Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, we upgraded to a partial ocean view at a fraction of the cost. The view was nothing short of breathtaking. Although the hotel’s décor is a bit dated, it remains well-kept. Connecting rooms were a bonus for family travel. Location is ideal—one block from the beach and close to shops. The breakfast, while standard, could be better; it lacked variety and was more basic than expected. The room was comfortable but had quirks—like a broken coffee maker and bathroom lighting issues. Continual upgrades are evident, but improvements in bathroom fixtures would enhance the experience. Still, a pleasant stay overall.

I loved how close I was to Waikiki Beach, just a 2-minute walk away, and so many amazing spots like the Honolulu Zoo only a bit more than a kilometer away and Cheeseburger in Paradise just a few steps down the street made my weekend strolls so enjoyable; the staff were super friendly and helpful, particularly Denise who went above and beyond to upgrade me when I faced wifi issues during a crucial class; the hotel offered nice amenities, like evening movies and a good breakfast, but the rooms could use some updates to really match the great experience here.

Comfortable beds, comfortable rooms with a fantastic balcony where we enjoyed evening drinks and a prime location just a block from the beach, which made exploring the area incredibly easy.

Great location, just a block from the beach. We upgraded to a partial ocean view; definitely worth it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit dated, and the balcony was small but perfect for people-watching. Daily housekeeping was impressive. Breakfast was chaotic and lacked seating—grab-and-go would be better. The small pool area felt cramped, and the restaurant closed during our stay. Friendly staff resolved our minor issues quickly, which was appreciated. Parking was pricey. it met our needs well for a budget-friendly stay. Would consider returning for convenience.

The room was spacious with two double beds that were surprisingly comfortable. Temperature control worked perfectly, allowing for a pleasant stay. Upon arrival, housekeeping was efficient; the room was cleaned daily, and fresh beach towels available made beach trips hassle-free. A notable downside was the noise from the nearby beachfront and motobike rentals, especially at night. The small kitchen felt cramped with a mini fridge and coffee maker, lacking a toaster. Some furniture showed wear, like a sticky business chair. the essentials were met, creating a comfortable environment for the week.

Our room was a letdown—no air conditioning and a malfunctioning fan that kept shutting off. It was sweltering, peeling wallpaper revealed dampness, and we felt totally ignored by staff. Not the ideal start to our honeymoon at all!

The Waikiki Resort Hotel is unbeatable for its proximity to Waikiki Beach. The staff, especially Denise, went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met during my stay. Clean rooms and convenient amenities like room service and free movies made my visit truly enjoyable!

The air conditioning in our room was a lifesaver, especially after coming back from the beach under the hot sun. we wished there were better tea and coffee facilities in the room as we are avid tea drinkers and the limited supply was disappointing. The sitting area in our room was cozy and provided a nice space to relax after a long day of exploring. We also enjoyed spending time on the terrace, soaking in the views and fresh air. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a great convenience for staying connected. On the downside, we noticed some areas that could be improved. The carpeted floor in our room seemed a bit worn out and could use a refresh. the housekeeping service was not as thorough as we would have liked, as we found some items left untouched during our stay. the amenities like the flat-screen TV and the AM/FM alarm clock added to our comfort. We appreciated the option for car hire and laundry services, although we did not make use of them during our stay. The staff at the reception were helpful in providing information on tours and ticket assistance, which we found useful for planning our outings.

The free upgrade to signature hot breakfast was a delightful surprise, offering a variety of mouth-watering options. I enjoyed the Hawaiian staples and the ambiance for stargazing was enchanting.
Shower shelf would have been nice, but who needs a place to put clothes in the shower, right? .

We hit up the beach for surf lessons and chilled at the poolside bar soaking up those tropical vibes. The free breakfast fueled our adventure-packed days and the car rental booth made exploring the island a breeze. Would defo return for another epic vacation!
Wished for a livelier nightlife scene for young party animals like us.

The hotel's location couldn't be better, just a block away from the main beach and near all the shops. The room was spacious, clean, and even had a balcony with a view of the beach and water. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed.
The check-in experience was a bit rough. One staff member was unwelcoming and not very helpful, which was a disappointing start to our stay.

Spending summer months here allowed our kids to ride the waves right at iconic Waikiki Beach.
For dads it would be great if there were more kid-friendly activities available.

we had a comfortable stay at Waikiki Resort. the room size and beds were perfect, and it wasn't noisy. the location in the middle of Waikiki was convenient, close to the beach and amenities. the staff were friendly and accommodating. the room was well-maintained and clean, and housekeeping did a great job. we also appreciated the free tasty coffee and the availability of water downstairs.
there was nothing I didn't like 🙂
